Maths Interchange

For the last few weeks in maths interchange my group have been learning about tens and hundreds, also we are learning about how many hundreds there are in numbers over 1000. We have been learning about $100 dollar notes, $10 notes and $1 coins to make up to a thousands number and a hundreds number.

Here are some questions and answers we have been doing. (example)

Gems and jewellery buys second hand jewellery to sell The store only has  $100 notes, $10 notes and $1 coins in the till. Use play money to show how many $100 notes, $10 notes and $1 coins they would need to buy these items.

Here are some questions and answers:

A. A watch for $360
3 of the $100 notes and 6 of the $10 notes
B. A diamond necklace for $1270
12 of the $100 notes and 7 of the $10 notes
C. A gold ring for $2469
24 of the $100 notes, 6 of the $10 notes and 9 of the $1 coins
D. A pair of ruby earrings for 2074
20 of the $100 notes, 7 of the $10 notes and 4 of the $1 coins

Can you please give me some feedback.
