In maths today we have been learning about dividing using multiplication strategy's. Our teacher put us with another person that was in my maths group. My teacher chose Gerald and I so I had to make him a DLO with some questions for him to answer so here is my DLO I hope you like it and if you want to solve it then you can.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Dodgeball
Today we had 3 topics to write about that we have done in PE this year. The options were Dodgeball or maths and I chose maths. Once we have picked 1 of the topics we had to write the rules, How to play, Clever tips and equipment. After that we have to answer the questions about the maths or dodgeball. Here is what we have been doing.
Equipment:
Equipment:
- 10 Round flat cones
- 10 soft or dodgeball balls
- 2 teams of as much players as you want (More players the better)
Rules:
- If you get hit with the ball shoulders down you are out
- You can go past half way of the court or field to get someone out
- If you get out go out be "honest"
- You can't kick the ball to get someone out
The object of the game is to get as much players out as possible
How to play:
- Split your players into 2 teams
- In the middle of the court or field place your cones in a line and place a ball on top of it
- 1 team on one side of the court or field and the 2nd team on the other side
- Run to the middle of court or field and get a ball and start getting people out.

Maths interchange
For the last 2 days in maths interchange we have been problem solving some questions about worms and seagulls in a paddock. We have been working is groups of 4 to complete these questions. Our teacher wroted questions on the board about problem solving.
What was the activity?
The activity was seeing how much worms would the seagulls eat to be full. This is one of the questions.
It has been raining in a paddock 273 worms have come to the surface. The seagulls are gathering. Gulls are satisfied if they eat 11 worms in one sitting, How many gulls can be satisfied by the worms in the paddock.
What strategy did your group try?
My group tried 273 divide by 11 and we counted in 11's to get the answer. The answer was 25 and there was 7 worms extra left.
What did you find challenging?
I found challenging was doing all the work by myself because they wernt helping.
How well did your group work together? Were you successful?
We were successful by getting the work done on time and getting the answers. We were successful and not successful because we weren't doing team work and they did help with some of the questions. We were successful because we got the work done.

Maths Interchange
For the last few weeks in maths interchange my group have been learning about tens and hundreds, also we are learning about how many hundreds there are in numbers over 1000. We have been learning about $100 dollar notes, $10 notes and $1 coins to make up to a thousands number and a hundreds number.
Here are some questions and answers we have been doing. (example)
Gems and jewellery buys second hand jewellery to sell The store only has $100 notes, $10 notes and $1 coins in the till. Use play money to show how many $100 notes, $10 notes and $1 coins they would need to buy these items.
Here are some questions and answers:
A. A watch for $360
3 of the $100 notes and 6 of the $10 notes
B. A diamond necklace for $1270
12 of the $100 notes and 7 of the $10 notes
C. A gold ring for $2469
24 of the $100 notes, 6 of the $10 notes and 9 of the $1 coins
D. A pair of ruby earrings for 2074

Lines Of Symmetry
Today in Maths we are learning lines of smmetry and how many lines of symmetry we have in our picture that you have made. We need to make a picture out of shapes that make a line of symmetry. My picture has 1 line of symmetry down the sides. I made this by my self.
