Community Time - Writing 2

In community time the teachers wrote some questions on the board that we had to answer them about this week. Here are the questions and answers

1) This week, I felt accomplished... When I learned how to make a hacky sack in soft material. I got my friend Nathan to help me because he was bored when he had nothing to do. I also felt accomplished when I finished my creepy creature that took me about 8 weeks

2) This week, I felt a sense of belonging... When my Mum, Sister, Step dad and I went to cheviot to see my step dad's parents and that night we watched the rugby and NZ got smashed and 1 of the NZ player and 1 of the other team had a fight and then they got a red card. The next morning I got to watch a lamb being born.

3) This week, I felt affirmed in my unique identity when... I played handball because my friends Cody, Levi, Hunter and I played 4 square and I was in king square for quiet along time. It was funny because I kept doing bridges and they got real angry.

4) This week, what I noticed about my feelings & emotions was...

That I could control them when I am frustrated or mad. Sometimes I dont get really mad but I do get frustrated when we do the same things every time at school for that period. When I get mad it is when people made me angry when they are annoying me when I am doing my work.

Community Time - Writing

In community time we sang the karakia and the national anthem to get warmed up and because we had to. After that we sang some songs to make us happy. Then the teacher wrote some questions, we had to pick 1 of them and then we wrote about them.

1) This week, I felt accomplished... when I got a certificate from school for being good in soft material for technology. I think it was because at the end of the session I was the only one still picking up rubbish on the floor. After that the soft material teacher gave me CARR card stamps.

2) This week, I felt a sense of belonging... Is my family because when we go and do something fun that we all like doing i felt like this is us, This is what we should be doing. One day my family and I went to hamner springs for the weekend and we went on the hydroslides and the hot pools. After that we went out for lunch also we went out for tea. Then we went home it was a fun weekend.

3) This week, I felt affirmed in my unique identity when...

I played handball and when I play soccer because not many people play them at morning tea or lunch. When I play soccer and handball I play with some of my friends they are Levi, Cody, Hunter, Ty, Zac, Levi.k, Nathan, Vin, Zack, Jesse and Tobey ect...

4) This week, what I noticed about my feelings & emotions was...

That I could control them when I am frustrated or mad. Sometimes I dont get really mad but I do get frustrated when we do the same things every time at school for that period. When I get mad it is when people pisses me off when they are annoying me when I am doing my work.


 

Fo Guang shan Temple Visit

On the 22nd of may we went to a temple visit. When we got there we walked into the driveway and there were two people there they looked like statues for a minute but they weren't because they waved at me. Then we went in two lines, 1 and 2. After that they introduced each other to the children. Then we went inside and one of the people taught us about 3 G & 4 G. It means 3 good deeds and 4 good givings. After that we split into 2 groups one went to make a lotus flower and the other group went outside and had some biscuits and a cup of water. I went in the first group which was the food and drinks. First I had the biscuits I didn't like them because they tasted like play dough but that was just fine. Then we got a tattoo with water and we had to count to 50 which was easy. After that we switched and my group was going to make a paper lotus flower. When we got there we sat down and a girl was telling us a story and then she asked some people to put water over the buddha which was quit weird. Then she showed us how to make the flower witch was really fun. After that everyone went to the big room upstairs to see the police and they told us their values that the police use for their job. Then they told someone to come and be dressed as a cop and get a lollies. After that they shared the vest around and it felt hard. Then they showed us how to meditate for about 2 minutes. After that we went back to school. It was a fun day because because got to learn about new things.

shower but the walrus is way bigger than the pigeon.

Over all I wonder what the pigeon does with it.

To create a story with a twist

This week we have been creating a storing about a goblin and a catwhat will happend next. We had to draw a picture to see what happends next with the goblin and the cat and it had to be a twist.

Ahhhhh When I was walking I saw the floor cracking “I'M SCARED”

Once upon a time there was a big fat hairy ugly green goblin sneaking to a snoring cat he was stomping around quietly. When he was stomping he heard a crack on the floor because he was stomping to hard BUT it was quiet so he quickly ran to the cat and was about to stand on the cat but he was too scared.

The cat was sleeping on her snugly pink pillow. The goblin had his feet right over the kitten the kitten felt cold air on top of her and his long mustache was touching the tip of her head. While the monster was standing over of the cat then she opened her eyes a tiny bit so the goblin doesn't recognize. Then she opened her eyes wide open and then the cat meooow really loud then the cat scratched him in the face and ripped some of his mustache off then he ran away crying and bleeding then I went back to sleep because I had a stressful day .

In the morning when the cat woke up then she went down stairs she saw the goblin lying in the corner with dry blood on its face. Then she ran to the goblin to see if it was all right because the cat felt sorry for the goblin because it was hurt and lonely. After that she said sorry to make it up to him then she wiped the blood off his face with her arm then the goblin said thank you and said “why did you hurt me in the first place” then she said “because I thought you were stalking me and going to kill me. After all that time the goblin ran away and never came back. Dun Dun    TO BE CONTINUED.

On monday we moved into our new school and today we had to make a poem about our new school with See, Hear, Smell and Touch.


I see all of the furniture and all of the colourful walls and the floors.

I hear all of the people excitement of how the new school looks like

I smell the fresh new air and all of the different tectures of socks on the carpet.

I touch the soft cosey walls they are like sheep fur.

Bliss balls experiant

This week we made bliss balls.

First we got into 2 groups one was doing blogging and the other one were making bliss balls. I was in the first group, we were making bliss balls first, the teacher said we needed to wash our hands.

After that we stood around the table. There were ingrediants on the table, coco and coconut, a food monster, measuring cups and measuring spoons. There was a bowl on the table with raisins, coconut oil, cocoa and oats in it.

Then we put the food in the bowl of the food monster and mixed it all around by pushing the button. We all took turns.

Next we got a spoon and rolled it around in our hands…

Finally we ate them and they were delicious the best thing ever.

Tornado Information Report

WALT: To write an information report with the correct structure and language features

For the last three weeks we have been learning about weather. For writing We had to pick our own weather feature to write an information report about weather. I chose Tornados because they are really cool to work on .
I am proud of my writing because I have done heaps of my Tornado Imformation Report

Tornados

OMG!! Look at that tornado it is very scary.

Tornadoes are really dangerous. People can get really scared and terrified of Tornados and storms.

Tornados destroy everything in its path. They blow down houses and trees and when they blow down the houses people will not have anywhere to live. Tornados are really dangerous they produce strong winds.

Tornadoes can last for about 10 minutes. Tornadoes are really fast they spin 300 Miles per hour and 483 kilometres per hour. A tornado is a spinning cloud of  air stretching from ground up into a thunderstorm above.

If the cloud touches the ground, it becomes a tornado. Tornados come in many sizes, but they dont normaly last very long.

Tornadoes are sometimes called twisters.

I think when i’m in a tornado I will go under something to keep me safe.

Weather Art

This term we have been learning about weather. In art I created a stormy night picture. First I did the backround using dye, One group was doing the dye and the other group did the silhouette. There was three groups one group was doing the silhouette and one group was doing the thunder with white paint and the other group was doing the dark stormy cloud. I was in the group that was glueing on the silhouette. Next I painted the dark cloud when we were doing the cloud we had to dabb to make the cloud effect with black paint. After that I painted the thunder with the white paint we couldnt do the lightening in straight lines and not thick.

Description Of Antarctica

WOW!!! Look at them animals they are so amazing and cute. Look at those seals and penguins. The penguins have a fish in their mouth, they ate it in one bite.

The penguins must be really warm because their feathers are so warm. Antarctica is the whitest continent on earth, It is really cold there right now.

The water in Antarctica will be really freezing because the ice is really cold and the ice is on top of the water also some of the ice is under the water that makes it really cold. When you are in Antarctica you need really warm gear to make you warm so you don't freeze. Their is a desert because it is very dry. The temperture at the south pole is 12.3 °C (9.9 °F) and in Peninsula the temperature is 15 °C (59 °F) also in the summer it is

Antarctica is an awesome place to visit when i’m older.

This week for our reading task the Paul Jennings reading group had to make a diagram of a headlice on google drawings. I used alot of shapes and we needed to make lables for what the parts of a headlice have like the Legs, arms, antennas, head, thorax and adoman and what they have.

The Mysterious Hiding spot story

On a sunny morning the teachers told us that we had to use our imagination to... find a hiding spot. My hiding spot was at the back of the field in the bushes.

When I was hiding I saw a huge dog running to me out of nowhere… “the giant dog” I couldn't believe it was so big. The dog looked bored so I found a stick and I was throwing it around so it could run around and get it for me. The dog was having good exercise I gave the dog a name I called it Jessie. After Jessie got exercise it was tired so I was patting it and giving it dog biscuits then Jesse fell asleep.

When Jesse woke up he was excited he was licking me it was all slobbery.
