Hurumanu - Balloon Chemistry

Aim: To see which chemical mix creates the most gas.

Hypothesis: what I think is going to happen is the balloon is going to get bigger.

What do you think is going to happen?



Materials:
1. A balloon
2. Bottle
3. Baking soda
4. Vinegar
5. Ruler

Steps:
1. put three tsp of baking soda in a balloon
2. put  ½ cup of vinegar in a big bottle
3. put balloon on top of the bottle
4. shake the bottle in circles straight after you put the balloon on the bottle




Balloon 1
( 3 tsp baking soda, ½ cup vinegar)
Balloon 2
( 3 tsp salt, ½ cup soda)

11cm up
12cm across
It didn't work because the balloon had a hole in it.

Drama

This week in drama we played all different games like walk the talk, 16 steps, tequila,  copy circle. Today we had to get into groups to get into a freeze pose and we had to perform on stage in front of 2 classes and we went last, I did eating because I love eating.

The four well being aspects of health are physical well being, Mental and emotional well being, social well being and spiritual well being.

Today we had to do a task about what the chemicals are for these equipment. Then we had to do a template of each of these things and put pictures about them.


Aim: To learn the names of 10 household chemicals and identify if they are a solid, liquid or a gas.

Movie Magic learning storie

Well done on completing your script, adding great music to your slideshow and completing your blog posts. I don’t remember you using different camera angles in your filming? It’s great that you ask what to do when you are unsure, but I think that you need to listen better in class so that you do not have to ask the teacher 3-4 times per period what it is that you need to do next. Keep choosing responsible classmates to work with.

For playback we have played many sports like ki o rahi.

For playback the teachers have put us into sport groups the sports are: Football, Netball, Rugby and Basketball the teacher put me into football.

We had to modify changes to normal football and make it different then we had show our changes to a different football team and we have to show the other class our rules and then they show us there changes that they have done.

The next time we did playback we had to show our sport to the netball group and then they showed us there game of netball for 40min each. After that we had to teach the rugby team our way of playing soccer then they showed us their way of playing rugby for 40min each.

One of the exercises for playback is called silly bananas it is where there are 2 tagers and the other people had to run around.

One of the other exercises is called bench ball it is where there are 2 teams
