Science - Hand making

Today in Science we have been learning about bones and what they do and ect... In Science we have a big plastic skeleton and our teacher was showing us what bone was what. After that we had 2 options they were to make a blog post and talk about what a hand does and ect.. or to make a hand showing what it does. I chose to make the hand and so I did it. Once it was finished we had to make a blog post and answer some questions so thats what I am doing now.

Explain how the hand moves and how your model shows this...
  • The hand moves by pulling the strings aka muscles for the fingures to move. The string represents the muscle and the straws represents the bones that are in the hand.
Tendons:

  • Tendons allow you to bend your fingures and they are tissue that connect muscles to bone. Tendons pull on bones.
Ligaments:

Ligaments attached bone to bone

Cartilage:

Cartilage stops the 2 bones from rubbing against each other

Here is the photo of the hand I made
