Rice paper spring rolls - Home Economics

Today in Home Economics we made rice paper spring rolls. First when we got into the kitchen we did our per usual thing which is to put on out aprons, wash our hands, Wash our working table and look at the recipe so you know what you are making. I dont know know why everytime I make a blog for home economics I always say what we do when we first get into the kitchen. Here are the ingredients that we used.

Ingredients:

12 rice paper sheets

½ avocado, sliced

½ cup coriander, chopped roughly

¼ cup Thai
basil leaves

1 carrot, sliced finely

¼ cucumber, sliced finely

1 cup lettuce, sliced finely

½ cup bean sprouts

¼ cup peanuts, roasted and chopped

½ cup cooked chicken, sliced

Here is a photo of the recipe we used.

Sorry I took photos but I dont know where they went.

Skills learnt - How to make rice paper spring rolls

Sensory evaluation - The rice paper spring rolls wernt that nice because of the texture, the texture tasted really tangi and the feel of the rice paper spring rolls in your mouth feels like a wet condom. It would of been better if there were sauces to choose from. We had no chicken so it didn't taste that nice.

Rate the food: 5/10

Could do differently: What we could of did differently was to make sure that there was all of the ingredients we needed especially some sauces and chicken to go in them. If the rice paper didn't feel like a condom and there was all of the ingredients the springs rolls would of been good,

How did the team work together: The team worked really good this time because everyone was there and participating. The team worked good because everyone was helping getting the ingredients and heling each other.
